Buswell and Boyle

Buswell and Bolye developed a scientific formula describing the composition of biogas after anaerobic digestion according to the chemical proposition of the initial substrates entering into a digestion process.

Each substrate or mixture of substrates results in different biogas compositions with varying levels of CH4, CO2, NH3 and H2S.

Substrate Depending Composition

According to the scientific formula developed by Buswell and Boyle specific substrates will reveal the following gas composition.
