Substrate management - feeding digesters

Substrate management meaning feeding the anaerobic digester and the technology to do so are important factors to run a stable digestion process. The technology in place has to provide a homogenous material in order to secure a constant feeding rate and load.

Besides liquid substrates a lot of the material produced on farms and with food processors is fairly dry and easy to truck.

    • gras silage
    • solid manure
    • vegetables (waste)
    • green cuttings
    • leftovers form food processing

The technology (push floor, mixer feeder) how to process and convey the specific substrates to the digester is adjusted to the substrate properties and the overall plant concept.
